I have over three years of experience in media and communication sector, proving my qualifications and background. As a former Copy-Editor with Asian News International (ANI), I have had experience of proof-reading and editing, writing headlines and making adjustments as needed in the stories as well as filing stories when required. I have also worked as a consultant with WISH Foundation, to single-handedly develop content for their website and the annual report 2019-20. I have gained experience as an Education Correspondent with one of the leading national newspapers, The Asian Age, and extensively covered central and state universities and schools, contributed exclusive special stories for weekend edition, developed effective working relationships with news sources to encourage feedback, developed interviewing skills for effective storylines. I have also interned as a copy-writer and a video-editor with the India Today Group as well as a web content writer for an organisation based in Amritsar. In addition, I gained experience as a communication assistant with an NGO in assisting and implementing their social and communication activities on ground. I have worked as a fundraising and administration assistant with a charity based organisation in Sheffield, where I was also responsible to manage the social media platforms. I also have experience of working as a college assistant with the University of Sheffield International College. During the term period, I also got the opportunity to intern as an Interviewer for High Fliers Research Ltd. in association with Times UK as well as a data collector with an education based consultancy based in Birmingham. With all the roles I have held, I have been recognised for my high level of motivation and strong communication skills. I believe every job requires a string dedication to duty and commitment to ensure that it is carried through completion. As a result of this mindset, I am adept in reporting, editing and research. So, I believe I would be a good fit for any kind of communication and content role.
